Rosalee Shares How Far Infrared Heat Helps Keep Her Chronic Myofascial Pain, Fibromyalgia Pain and Back Spasms at Bay - Naturally
We recently had the chance to connect with Rosalee, an incredible and resilient woman who has used Thermotex for more than a decade. Rosalee’s chronic pain began when she injured her back at work, further exacerbated by a physio mishap. “A bad slip and fall accident at work injured my back and knee. During an initial physio treatment, I was instructed to lift an 80 lb weight bar on a Smith machine but couldn’t support the weight and further injured my back and neck. This led to more back spasms and I began an earnest search for pain relief.
I attended multiple clinics for physio, acupuncture, massage and chiropractor. I also attended the Pain Clinic at the Misericordia Hospital and was told ‘examination revealed multiple trigger points in the thoracic spine, neck and lower abdomen.’ I was given a diagnosis of Myofascial Pain Syndrome and received physio along with trigger point injections for six months. Any improvement from these treatments was unfortunately very short lived, lasting a few hours or a day at the most. Pain medications didn’t help much at all, and I couldn’t tolerate the side effects. I tried a few other products for pain and a supplement program but had no improvement. Eventually, a diagnosis of fibromyalgia was added.
One day, I happened to see the Thermotex Platinum Infrared Heating Pad for sale in a fitness store and purchased it. The recurring episodes of back spasms had become so severe I could not get up from the floor during an episode, so during the next flare of back spasms, I applied the Thermotex pad.
