A Lucky Coincidence: How Cheng Discovered Far Infrared Heat When He Needed It Most
We were grateful to reconnect with Cheng after meeting him a few years ago at our Calgary headquarters. He had just injured his back, and while he was determined to finish his work day as a salesperson for warehouse supplies, he was in tremendous pain. That very day, he went home with his first Thermotex unit and still uses it. We’re sure glad we were on his route! Cheng shared:
“I’m 51 years old and was lucky to come to Canada in 1979. After school, I began working in the retail industry where I started out as a stock person and eventually became an operations manager. Over the course of 25 years, I’ve used my core to move hundreds of boxes and load and unload many trailers. I lead an active lifestyle (I work out four times per week), but all that lifting still caused chronic shoulder and back issues. I regularly see a chiropractor and sometimes a physiotherapist.
I discovered Thermotex by accident. One freezing fall morning, I was getting ready for work. I took my dog out, and as I walked down the deck, I slipped on a patch of ice and landed on my lower spine. I couldn’t get up and felt as though I might be paralyzed. Finally, I was able to get up and limp to my car. I was still determined to complete my work day – at the time, I was an outside salesperson for a warehouse supplies company.
Thermotex was one of the places I stopped on my route. I met their friendly and knowledgeable team, and they explained how their far infrared technology works.
